glór is home to a great gallery space that holds excellent visual art exhibitions. Our exhibitions have been extremely successful, not to mention award-winning.

Exhibitions of note include Airborne Drawings by Samuel Walsh, (October 2003); The RHA Biennial Drawing Exhibition, (December 2006); Learning from Art by The National Gallery of Ireland, (September 2009); Black & Tan by Mick O’Dea RHA, (September 2010); the annual Clare County Arts Office Embrace Exhibition, and of course our Selects…series, which comprises a major invited artists’ exhibition curated by an established and well-known artist, such as Lorraine Wall in 2004, John Shinnors in 2005, Walter Verling in 2006, and Seán McSweeney in 2008. Major group exhibitions have included Burst into Bloom, (December 2009); Food Art, (December 2010), featuring work by Jean Bardon, Cliona Doyle, Richard Sharp and many more local and national artists, and the recent In Colour exhibition, on loan from The Arts Council of Ireland and AIB, (September 2011), comprising  20th Century Irish artworks from artists including William Leech, Manie Jellet, William Orpen, Martin Gale, Mary Swanzy, Robert Ballagh, Charles Brady, Patrick Collins, Barrie Cooke, Louis Le Brocquy, Alice Maher, Tony O’Malley and Vivienne Roche.
