WHAT’S ON...
Gentle Yoga - Term Starting April 2010
Yoga is an ancient practice that harmonises mind-body-spirit. It quietens the mind, brings ease to the body and allows you to respond better to the challenges of life.
In a class, physical postures (asana) are used to improve balance, flexibility, posture and co-ordination. Breathing practices (pranayama) are used to influence the state of mind and balance energy. Relaxation techniques (yoga nidra) are used to let you rest deeply in yourself. Well-being naturally arises when stresses and imbalances are let go.
Practicalities
* This term of 10 classes starts on Monday 12th April 2010 (with breaks for 2 bank holidays).
* The earlier class (10.15-11.45am) lasts for 1˝ hours, and includes a long relaxation.
