GLOR GALLERY
glór is home to a great gallery space that holds excellent visual art and occasional applied art exhibitions. glór is Clare’s Arts Centre and receives funding from Clare County Council and The Arts Council.
glór’s exhibitions have been extremely successful, not to mention award winning. Alan Keane's series, A place for time won the prestigious 2002 Tony O' Malley Travel Award for Painters while exhibiting here. Other exhibitions of note include, amongst others, Jean Regan’s Work & Life in Maghera & Ennis (November 2001); Airborne Drawings by Samuel Walsh, (October 2003); Texaco Children’s Art Competition (March 2004 & 2005); the annual Clare County Arts Office Embrace Scheme and of course our Selects…series, which comprises a major invited artists’ exhibition curated by an established and well-known artists, such as Lorraine Wall in 2004, John Shinnors in 2005 and Walter Verling in 2006.
